Tintype photographers Lucas Mobley and Kathryn Stevens will be hosting a Seattle tintype event on September 20th, 21st and 22nd. Sessions are by reservation only and can be booked at their online store. For the first time, the will be offering wall worthy and giant 11×14 plates!
Tintype photography is a process invented in 1851. It is part chemistry, part psychology, part photography and feels like magic! The chemical process yields results that vary a little bit from image to image. It is pretty darn rad to watch and the end result is beyond words!
Couples, individuals and parents with kids of any age are encouraged to participate. Kids will need to be able to remain relatively still for a short time. Just ask if you have questions.
